Welcome Home

You are the recipient of a house, left to you in the will of a long forgotten relative or acquaintance, which holds less than pleasant memories. Despite your best efforts, you must return to the house to bid it one last farewell—and perhaps even gain some closure. 

Welcome Home is a single player journaling RPG designed to help explore themes of domestic trauma, created for One-Page RPG Jam 2022. In it, you navigate the rooms of a house and string together memories of the times you spent there. You win if you explore all of the rooms and leave the house with a sense of closure. If the memories overwhelm you and force you from the house early, however, they win. 

Use this game to explore your own trauma, build a character’s backstory, or just to examine how trauma changes how you interact with the world around you.
